The views in Hong Kong are extraordinary if you're staying at a luxury hotel on the harbor. But if you want serious NEXT LEVEL, get yo' ass up to the Sky Terrace at The Peak Hong Kong. This is the view you'll be treated to.

The Sky Terrace, the creme de la creme of views, is 1,400 feet high (with 360-degree views), and it's only 20-minutes drive from Central. From here you can board a sightseeing tram, several shops and restaurants with insane views of the city. Sure, The Peak Hong Kong can be a shitshow (the line for the tram-- I can't), but go off-peak (avoid weekends and holidays) and you can do the entire attraction in an hour.

I recommend hiring your own car. This way you won't have to wait all day for a taxi ride back down (the lines are insane). Naturally, Jason Collins and I hired Peninsula Hong Kong's in-house Rolls Royce, who dropped us off and waited for us to finish our tour before driving us back down. No matter how you get to the Peak, it just matters you get there! It's one of the most breathtaking views of a city I've seen.
